Two Times Bigger Than France

South Africa is two times larger than France, and due to its varying climate, it often seems like several countries have been tucked into South Africa. South Africa produces wine in some areas of the country, while parts of the country are desert.

Why not book a South Africa luxury holidays for yourself? There is something for everyone in South Africa, whether you are interested in shopping, sightseeing, partying, or just relaxing on the beach.

Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Port Elizabeth are some of the major cities in South Africa, and each one has something different to offer you.

Port Elizabeth is one of the largest cities in South Africa and is one of the major seaports in the country. It is also surrounded by beaches as it stretches for some 16 kilometers along Algoa Bay.  Check out SAMREC (South African Marine Rehabilitation and Education Centre) where they are helping to save the endangered African Penguin.  Play a round of golf at Jack Nicklaus at St Francis Links. This golf course has lush fairways and premier tiered greens.  There are also many nature preserves and museums in the Port Elizabeth area. A great place to stay in Port Elizabeth is the five-star Singa Lodge in Summerstrand. Singa is a small but luxurious guesthouse/bed and breakfast with nine luxury suites and three executive suites.

Cape Town holds the distinction of having the five most visited attractions in South Africa. These five attractions are Table Mountain, the Cape Peninsula, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Robben Island, and the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. Luxurious five-star accommodation abound in Cape Town, including the Taj Hotel Cape Town, the exclusive and very private Ellerman House, the Westin Cape Town, Cape Grace, and The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa.

Johannesburg is the largest city in South Africa by population. It’s also one of the 50 largest metropolitan areas in the entire world. Due to its proximity to the mineral-rich Witwatersrand range of hills, Johannesburg is a major player in the worlds of gold and diamond trade. Attractions in Johannesburg include the Apartheid Museum and South African National Museum of Military History. Be sure to use the Gautrain, Africa’s first world-class rapid rail and bus system. Five-star hotels in Johannesburg include but are not limited to the Hyatt Regency Johannesburg, The Westcliff Hotel, the Saxon Boutique Hotel and Spa, and the Oyster Box Hotel.
